NOTICE: Please be aware of text messages or phone calls from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) claiming that you owe payment for an unpaid traffic violation. These messages may threaten you, requesting immediate payment to avoid losing your driving privileges. However, the IDOT does NOT contact individuals via text or phone call. Notifications regarding traffic violations will be sent only via USPS mail.
If you receive such a letter, please verify its authenticity with IDOT before making any payments. If you have any questions, feel free to call the office of State Representative David Friess at 618-282-7284, and we will be happy to help you.
In 2026, our nation will celebrate its 250th birthday. Red Bud is gearing up to commemorate this milestone, and we’re inviting individuals and local organizations to help plan events that reflect our community’s unique character and pride. Our first meeting was held on July 23, 2025.
Each sub-committee is beginning to gather members, refine ideas, and estimate project costs. If you or your organization is interested in helping shape this celebration, we’d love to have your voice involved! Our next meeting is August 27th, 9:00 AM, City Hall – 2nd Floor. If you cannot attend, please fill out this form so we can keep you informed: https://forms.gle/dSNz8WWFpzqSDUcH9
Feel free to forward this invitation to others within your organization or to anyone else you believe should be involved.
This is an opportunity to make an impact on our community. There is room for all to be involved, so we welcome and encourage your participation in these efforts.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our community. Red Bud is lucky to have you! Jill Landgraf, Administrative Officer City of Red Bud
